2019-2020 project terms ERASMUS+ KA171 INTERNATIONAL CREDIT MOBILITY
In the framework of 2019-2020 Project Terms, Erasmus+ KA171 International Credit Staff Mobility application has been opened. Applications of academic and administrative staff who want to benefit from Erasmus+ KA171 Staff Mobility within the framework of the 2021-2022 Academic year will be made between 06 January 2022- 28 January 2022 with the forms and other required documents on our website. Applications will be evaluated by the Erasmus+ Student and Staff Mobility Commission.
Erasmus+ KA171 programme offers funded exchange opportunities for academic and administrative staff from and to partner countries. There are two types of staff mobility:
Staff Mobility for Teaching: Staff mobility for teaching for academic staff to teach at a partner higher education institution (HEI) abroad.
Staff Mobility for Training: Staff mobility for training for teaching and non-teaching staff in the form of training events abroad (excluding conferences), job shadowing, observation periods and/or training at a partner HEI.

Application Process
Applications must be submitted to the IO by 28 January 2022, the deadline for application.

i) The selection of the staff who will participate in the staff mobility activity is made by the Exchange Programs Staff and Learning Mobility Selection Commission determined by the Istanbul Kültür University Rectorate, taking into account the annual Call for Proposals by the European Union Commission and the national priorities determined annually by the National Agency.
ii) The following steps must be followed during the application;
1. The Erasmus Staff Mobility application form must be filled in completely.
2. For Teaching Mobility ; Mobility Agreement For Teaching, For Training Mobility ; Mobility Agreement For Training must be filled in completely.
3. The approval parts in the Teaching and Training Plans must be completed by obtaining the signatures of the relevant persons. The positions of the persons concerned should be specified. (Dean, Head of Department and/or Director, Head of Unit). All signature processes to be requested from the counterparty will be requested from the partner institution by the UİB after the placements are completed.
4. The Work Plan must be submitted to the International Relations Unit by following the above-mentioned steps.
5. Candidates applying for Erasmus Staff Mobility should add the permission letter they received from the academic or administrative units they are affiliated with to the application file.
6. Candidates who score at least 50 points in the English Placement Exam to be held by the Department of Foreign Languages will be evaluated for Erasmus Education Mobility. The exam results of the candidates who take the required score by participating in the equivalent exams at the exam centers outside the university, are published in the Official Newpaper dated 23/3/2016 and numbered 29662, by the Department of Foreign Languages within the framework of the provisions of the Regulation on Foreign Language Teaching and the Principles to be Followed in Teaching in a Foreign Language in Higher Education Institutions. converted to the corresponding language score.
7. The Staff Mobility application documents of all applicants are checked individually by the UİB and their suitability in terms of form and content is examined whether there are missing documents or documents with inappropriate content. Examined documents are filed and submitted to the Rectorate. After the preliminary evaluation of the Rectorate, the Exchange Programs Personnel and Learning Mobility Selection Commission determined by the Rectorate finalizes the applications, taking into account the annual Call for Proposals by the European Union Commission and the national priorities determined annually by the National Agency, and submits them to the Rectorate for approval. After the approval of the Rectorate, the results are announced in the announcements section of our University and UIB.
8. Priority is given to the personnel who have not benefited from the Erasmus Staff Mobility activity before, to the departments or units that have not been involved in the Erasmus Staff Mobility activities before, to the applicants who are not involved in the Erasmus Staff Mobility activity before or who plan to do mobility with a few countries and higher education institutions.
iii) Applicant academic/administrative staff should not contact the partner university regarding the application processes. Nomination of academic/administrative staff to partner universities will be done by UİB. Invitation letters to be prepared by the counterparty of the candidates who are eligible for the personnel mobility activity will be requested by the UİB.
iv) Grant support will not be provided for online course/training mobility to be held in institutions that have switched to online education for the 2021-2022 academic year. For grant support, academic/administrative staff are expected to have physically mobilized.
Grant Support for Staff Mobility
Staff who applied and were accepted under Erasmus+ KA171 Partner Countries, will be supported by a grant to be calculated based on their mobility period. The grant will be made for 7 days, with 5 days + 2 days travel.
The activity period of the personnel (7 days) will be fully granted, but the personnel can also carry out their activities completely without a grant, that is, with "zero grant".
No Grant ("0" Grant) Staff Mobility: Not receiving a grant does not mean that the staff will not be included in the selection process. Zero grant staff mobility activities can only be carried out with the partners included in the grant agreement of the higher education institution, but for any activity type and direction.

Minimum and Maximum Periods for Staff Teaching and Training Mobility
In Teaching Mobility, at least 8 lesson hours should be given for 5 days of mobility,
In Training Mobility, it is obligatory to be active for 5 days and 8 hours of activity.
In cases where it is not clear in the beneficiary's curriculum and/or certificate of participation that the course/educational load covers at least 8 hours within the scope of the minimum mobility periods mentioned above, the activity is deemed invalid and no grant payment is
made to the beneficiary.
Staff Mobility Grant Payments
All of the travel grants and 70% of the grant entitlement for the incoming and outgoing personnel who have applied for teaching or training who are entitled to benefit from the activity by the Exchange Programs Staff and Learning Mobility Selection Commission are paid within 2 weeks after signing the grant contract.
The remaining 30% of the grant is paid after the activity is completed and the required documents are submitted.
All grant payments are calculated by UİB according to the budget of the KA171 Project approved and donated by the National Agency.
What to do After Mobility
Documents to be Completed After the Staff Mobility;
- The Certificate of Attendance
- Documents Showing Travel Dates (such as flight cards,passport entries and exits)
- A Staff Report
- Feedback Summarizing the Mobility
- Mobility Assessment Form
Above mentioned documents must be submitted to the IO within 2 weeks at the lastest after the mobility.
Mobilities in the Framework of 2019 Project term should be planned to be completed by 30 May 2022 at the latest.
COVID-19 Precautions
Academic and administrative staff who will apply for the Erasmus+KA171 Staff Mobility should follow the PCR test and quarantine practices and necessary information at the country entries where they will attend the mobility.
Erasmus + KA171 Staff Mobility will be carried out in countries without quarantine.
