The next step will be about choosing the Academic Level and the Program. As a high school student who wants to apply for an Undergraduate Program, it’s very important to choose the right department. Students can find the curriculum of each course at the following link;

Students should make sure to type correctly the Passport Number, an active E-mail and a Cell Phone Number.
Students should upload copies of high school diploma, official transcript, and passport. Note that if not already available, official translations of the diploma and transcript required in Turkish or English.
Students can display and update the application by logging with the passport number and PIN Code. Once the application is evaluated, students will receive a Conditional Acceptance Letter via e-mail.
Students will receive an Official Acceptance only after paying the deposit indicated on the Conditional Acceptance Letter. Once the payment is received, the University will send an Official Acceptance Letter.

Prospective International bachelor students should submit their application as follows:
1. The applicant should fill in the online application form available on uib.iku.edu.tr/en
2. The applicant should upload required documents to the online application form.
3. The required documents for Undergraduate Applications are:
• Official high school diploma (with the official transcript)
• All High school Transcripts/Grades (last 4 high school years)
• Passport photocopy
• Blue Card and Certificate (if applicable)
• Residence Permit (if you reside in Turkey)

Documents Required for Associate/Bachelor Registration:
1. Passport
2. High school diploma (original hard copy+ apostille translation in English or Turkish)
3. Official Transcript of records (original hard copy+ apostille translation in English or Turkish)
4. Student visa/ Turkish residence permit (if available)
5. ID size photo (6 pcs)
6. State Health Insurance
7. English/ Turkish proficiency certificate with the minimum required score (if available):
Students who don't have a language certificate mentioned above at registration need to take IKU language proficiency exam.
Minimum required score:
- IKU English proficiency: min. 60 for bachelor programmes except English language and Literature and English Language Education programmes which require min 80 points out of 100.
IKU Turkish proficiency: min. 60 for bachelor programmes.
Students who fail IKU proficiency exam will start IKU English/ Turkish preparatory school which may take 1 or 2 semesters to pass and start major program depending on the level registered.
Registration is done in person at International Office at Ataköy Campus.
* According to the decision of the Turkish Council of Higher Education dated 16/11/2015, Turkish Universities can only admit international students once a year. Therefore there is only one intake which is Fall of each academic year. Change of department or re-entry applications can only be accepted for the next Fall term.
Prospective International Master/PhD students should submit their application as follows:
All Graduate level (Masters and PhD-Doctorates) applications should be submitted online. Please note that each graduate program might have different requirements for accepting candidates.

3. The required documents for Graduate Applications are:
• Official undergraduate diploma (for PhD applicants, master diploma and the thesis required)
• All undergraduate Transcripts/Grades (for PhD applicants, master transcripts required)
• Passport photocopy
• Residence Permit (if you reside in Turkey)
• TOEFL IBT or YDS result (for PhD applicants)
Once the online application is submitted, applicants will receive a notification as a proof of their application. The next step is the pre-evaluation process by International Office. If the application meets the minimum requirements for admission, the application is forwarded to the related department. The department convenes once a week and evaluate the applications. The students who are admitted by the Board of the Institute will receive an offer letter by International Office with a specific payment deadline. The students who pay their programme fee in-time will then be able to receive an admission letter which will expedite the process of student visa.
