ISTANBUL KÜLTÜR UNIVERSITY CALL FOR APPLICATION ANNOUNCEMENT FOR 2026–2027 ACADEMIC YEAR BILATERAL STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAM

Call for Applications for the 2026–2027 Academic Year (Fall and Spring Semesters or Full Academic Year) has started within the scope of Istanbul Kultur University’s Bilateral Student Exchange Program.

Detailed information regarding the application process and requirements for students who wish to participate in the Bilateral Student Exchange Program is provided below.

*Note: The English Proficiency Exam will be conducted face-to-face at the Bahçelievler Campus by the School of Foreign Languages of Istanbul Kultur University. Candidates who complete their applications will be informed about the exam details via email.


APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Students applying for the Bilateral Student Exchange Program must meet the following criteria:

•    Be enrolled as a full-time student at Istanbul Kultur University, 
•    Have at least one semester remaining at the university after completing the exchange program, 
•    Have a minimum GPA of 2.20/4.00 for undergraduate students, 
•    Have completed at least 60 ECTS credits before application, 
•    Have no disciplinary record. 

REQUIRED APPLICATION DOCUMENTS

•    Updated Transcript 
•    Copy of Passport 
•    Motivation Letter* 
•    Curriculum Vitae (CV) in Europass format* 

*Note: The motivation letter and CV do not directly affect the evaluation score; however, they will be considered in case of equal scores.

IMPORTANT NOTES REGARDING THE POST-APPLICATION PROCESS

•    Students accepted into the program are required to prepare a Learning Agreement together with their department coordinators. 
•    The foreign language proficiency exam will be conducted by the School of Foreign Languages. 
•    Students may use the results of the English Proficiency Exam previously administered by IKU School of Foreign Languages, provided that the exam was taken within the last 2 years. 
•    Some partner universities may require internationally recognized language certificates such as TOEFL or IELTS in addition to the university’s own exam. 
•    Students participating in the program will continue to pay their tuition fees to Istanbul Kultur University. 
•    Accommodation, transportation, and other living expenses abroad are the responsibility of the students. 
•    The placement process is subject to academic and administrative approval by both the home and host institutions. 


IMPORTANT NOTE
This program is not part of the Erasmus+ Program. It belongs to Istanbul Kultur University’s Bilateral Student Exchange Program.
