Applications for staff mobility within the framework of the 2025–2026 academic year for academic and administrative staff members of Istanbul Kültür University will be received between 22 September – 20 October 2025 together with the application form and other required documents listed below. Applications will be evaluated by the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility Commission.
Applications for Erasmus+ Staff Teaching and Training Mobility must be submitted via turnaportal.ua.gov.tr, together with the required documents listed below.
The Erasmus+ Staff Mobility application period covers the entire 2025–2026 academic year. A second call for applications will only be opened within the same academic year if additional funding remains available.
For candidates applying to Erasmus+ Staff Training Mobility, an English Proficiency Exam will be organized by our university’s School of Foreign Languages on 22 October 2025.

Application Process
i) Selection of candidates will be carried out by the Erasmus Staff Mobility Evaluation Board appointed by the Rectorate of Istanbul Kültür University, taking into account the annual Call for Proposals published by the European Commission and the national priorities set by the Turkish National Agency.
ii) The following steps must be followed during application:
- Complete the Erasmus Staff Mobility application form in full.
- For teaching mobility, the teaching programme must be fully completed; for training mobility, the training plan must be fully completed.
- Approval sections within the Teaching/Training Plans must be signed by the relevant authorities (Dean, Head of Department, Director, or Unit Head). Required signatures from the host institution must be obtained by the participant after placement.
- Upload the Teaching/Training Plan, Mobility Agreement, and Application Form to turnaportal.ua.gov.tr after completing the application.
- Candidates who score at least 50 points in the English Proficiency Exam organized by the School of Foreign Languages will be eligible for Erasmus Training Mobility. External exam results equivalent to national standards and not older than 2 years may also be submitted.
- All application documents will be reviewed by the International Office for completeness and compliance. Verified documents will then be submitted to the Rectorate. Following preliminary evaluation, the Erasmus Staff Mobility Evaluation Board will finalize results based on European Commission calls and National Agency priorities. Approved results will be announced on the University and International Office websites.
- Priority will be given to:
- Staff who have not previously participated in Erasmus Staff Mobility.
- Staff from units/departments not yet engaged in mobility.
- Applications aiming to establish mobility with countries or institutions with little or no previous participation.
iii) Applicants must upload their Letter of Acceptance from the host institution to the application system. Applications without an acceptance letter will not be considered.
iv) Online teaching/training mobilities at institutions that have switched entirely to online education in the 2025–2026 academic year will not be funded. Physical mobility is required for grant support.
v) An inter-institutional agreement is not required for Training Mobility.
vi) An inter-institutional agreement is required for Teaching Mobility.
Scoring System
No participation in the last 5 calls: +20 points, 1 participation: +15 points, 2 participations: +10 points, 3 participations: +5 points, 4+ participations: 0 points
Additional points based on institutional priorities:
- Erasmus Faculty/Department/Vocational School Coordinator applying for Teaching Mobility: +5 points
- Administrative/technical staff or Erasmus Coordinator applying for Training Mobility: +5 points
- Quality of Teaching/Training Plan: up to +30 points
- Contribution to internationalization and establishment of bilateral agreements (min. 3 agreements/staff): +10 points
- Application from a unit/department with no previous mobility participation: +15 points
Grant Support
The Erasmus grant is a contribution, not intended to cover all expenses.
- Grant amounts are set out in the standard grant agreement to be signed between the institution and the staff member.
- No grant will be provided for days without eligible activities.
- Daily grant amounts vary depending on the host country.

Zero-Grant Participation
Staff members may participate in mobility without receiving a grant. In such cases, applications must still be submitted and evaluated alongside funded applications. The only difference is that zero-grant staff are excluded from budget allocations and receive no payment.
