Applications for Erasmus+ Staff Training Mobility within the framework of the 2024–2025 academic year for academic and administrative staff will be accepted via the form and the required documents listed below between 27 May 2025 and 16 June 2025. Applications will be evaluated by the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility Commission.

Applications must be submitted through the website turnaportal.ua.gov.tr along with the necessary documents listed below.

The English Proficiency Exam for applicants will be administered by our university’s School of Foreign Languages on 16 June 2025.

  • Mobility Agreement (must be fully signed)
  • Work Plan
  • Language Certificate (If not available, the applicant must take the exam organized by our university's School of Foreign Languages)
  • Passport
  • English CV
  • Acceptance Letter from the Host Institution

Application Process
i) The selection of participants for the Staff Training Mobility activity will be carried out by the Erasmus Staff Mobility Evaluation Committee appointed by the Rectorate of Istanbul Kültür University, in accordance with the European Commission’s annual Call for Proposals and the national priorities set annually by the Turkish National Agency.
ii) The following steps must be followed during the application:
1. The Erasmus+ Staff Training Mobility application form must be filled in completely.
2. The Mobility Agreement must be fully completed.
3. The approval sections in the Training Plan must be signed by the relevant authorities.
4. Once all the documents above are completed, they must be uploaded to https://turnaportal.ua.gov.tr.
5. Applicants who score a minimum of 50 on the English Proficiency Test administered by the School of Foreign Languages will be eligible for evaluation. Applicants who have taken equivalent exams at external institutions must upload results that are not older than 2 years. These scores will be converted into the appropriate scale by the School of Foreign Languages in accordance with the principles specified in the Regulation published in the Official Gazette dated 23/03/2016 and numbered 29662.
6. All submitted documents will be reviewed by the International Office (IO) to ensure they are complete and meet formal and content requirements. These documents will then be forwarded to the Rectorate for preliminary evaluation. Following this, the Erasmus Staff Mobility Evaluation Committee will finalize the evaluation and submit the results to the Rectorate for approval. The approved results will be announced on the University and IO announcements page.
7. Priority will be given to:
•    Staff who have not previously participated in Erasmus+ Staff Mobility,
•    Departments or units that have not participated before,
•    Applications involving institutions or countries with which mobility has not been previously conducted or was conducted in limited numbers.
iii) An inter-institutional agreement is not required for participation in Staff Training Mobility.

Scoring System
If the applicant has not participated in any Erasmus+ Staff Mobility in the last 5 call periods: +20 points, Participated once: +15 points, Twice: +10 points, Three times: +5 points, Four or more times: 0 points
i) Institutional Prioritization Criteria:
1. Being Administrative or Technical Staff and serving as an Erasmus Faculty/Department/Vocational School Coordinator: +5 points
2. The expected quality of the Work Plan: Up to +30 points (max.)
3. Facilitating bilateral agreements (minimum of 3 per staff) that contribute to the internationalization of our university and enable student/staff exchanges: +10 points
4. Application from a unit/department that has not previously participated in mobility activities: +15 points 

Grant Support
The grant provided to selected staff is a contribution, and is not intended to cover all expenses incurred during the mobility period abroad.

Details regarding the grant amounts are included in the standard agreement to be signed between the higher education institution and the staff member.

No grant will be paid for days when no activity is conducted or if the nature of the activity does not match the mobility type.
